The Santa Fe Police Department is investigating the following reports:

  • Someone stole two iPods from a 1991 Toyota 4-Runner parked in the 300 block of Catron Street sometime Saturday.
  • Two males were seen leaving Grace Community Church, 2247 Camino Carlos Rey, around 5:50 a.m. Monday when an alarm was sounded. Nothing was reported stolen.
  • Someone stole an Apple laptop computer from a home in the 1800 block of Mann Street sometime before 1:28 p.m. Monday.
  • A cash box was stolen from the Santa Fe Car Wash, 2217 Cerrillos Road, sometime before the business opened Monday. A window to the business was broken.
  • Someone stole a wallet and a bicycle from a home in the 1600 block of Camino de Cruz Blanca between early Friday and early Saturday, according to a police report.
  • Several electronics were stolen from a home in the 7000 block of Camino Rojo between 7:40 a.m. and 3:45 p.m. Monday.
  • Two necklaces were reported stolen from a glass display case at La Fonda, 100 E. San Francisco St., between noon Sunday and 10:30 a.m. Monday.
  • Someone stole a green bag from a 2010 Chevrolet sport-utility vehicle parked in the 200 block of Rosario Street around 6:45 p.m. Friday.
  • A lawn mower and several tools were stolen from St. Bede's Episcopal Church, 1601 St. Francis Drive, between 5:30 p.m. Friday and 9:30 a.m. Saturday.

The Santa Fe County Sheriff's Department is investigating the following reports:

  • Someone crashed a vehicle into a stucco wall at a home in the 4000 block of Agua Fría Street between Friday and Monday. Police reports state "a small piece of grey bumper was located at the scene."
  • An oil painting was stolen from a home on Adobe Creek Road in Pojoaque sometime Monday.
  • John Chavez, 31, of Santa Fe was arrested in the 1100 block of Calle de los Cerros on Monday and charged with battery on a household member, criminal damage to property of a household member and resisting or obstructing an officer. Deputies report Chavez led them on "a lengthy foot pursuit" before he was arrested.
  • Someone stole an Apple computer, a digital camera and jewelry from a home on Calle Jenah in the Airport Road area between 8:50 a.m. and 4:15 p.m. Monday.
  • Alejandro Jasso-Lopez, 19, of Santa Fe was arrested at 10:52 p.m. Monday and charged with possession of cocaine.
  • Someone drove into a gate at the entrance of the Vista Primera subdivision on Sundance Road between 2 and 2:45 p.m. Monday.
  • A burglar stole a car battery from a 1981 Chevrolet pickup parked at a business on Old Las Vegas Highway between 6 p.m. Saturday and 8 a.m. Monday.
  • Someone stole 40 compact discs and a silver iPod from a 1998 Ford pickup parked on Camino Capilla Vieja between 6 p.m. Sunday and 11 a.m. Monday.

DWI arrests

  • Aaron David, 31, of Isleta Pueblo was arrested by a sheriff's deputy at St. Francis Drive and Cerrillos Road on Monday and charged with DWI. Police reports indicate his blood alcohol content was registered twice at 0.07.

Speed SUV

  • Today's location of the Santa Fe Police Department's mobile speed enforcement vehicle: From 7:25 to 8:15 a.m. and from 2:10 to 2:55 p.m., the SUV will be in the Gonzales Community School zone on West Alameda Street; it will be on West Alameda at Cedar Street the rest of the day.
