The Santa Fe Police Department is investigating the following reports:

Billy Bratcher, 43, of Santa Fe, was arrested Wednesday in the 3200 block of Zafarano Drive and charged with filing a false report. A police report stated he was arrested "after he filed a false report of accident claiming he was struck by a car off West Alameda and then ran several miles to the 3200 block of Zafarano to report the incident."

Someone stole a purse from a 2005 Lexus parked in the 200 block of Murales Road between 10 a.m. and 10:45 a.m. Wednesday.

A purse and a BlackBerry cellular phone were stolen from a home in the 1500 block of Don Gaspar between 8 p.m. Tuesday and 7:15 a.m. Wednesday.

A burglar stole a 2006 Buell motorcycle, multiple guitars, money, four computers and tools from a home in the 2900 block of Via Chiquita between 8:30 a.m. and 11:55 a.m. Wednesday.

Someone stole a car stereo and amplifier from an unspecified vehicle parked in the 1900 block of Calle Miquella between 8 a.m. and 2:45 p.m. Tuesday.

Someone stole a 19-inch Sylvania television and a Dell laptop computer from a home in the 4600 block of Contenta Ridge between 7 a.m. and 3:50 p.m. Tuesday.

Melissa Rascon, 37, of Santa Fe, was arrested at 2:59 p.m. Wednesday in the 800 block of El Caminito and charged with larceny over $2,500.

Matthew J. Lucero, 26, of the 1300 block of Rufina Lane, was arrested at his home at 1 a.m. Thursday and charged with aggravated assault against a household member.

The Santa Fe County Sheriff's Department is investigating the following reports:

Someone stole a 9-mm pistol, a paintball gun, an expired bulletproof vest, a pellet gun, an Xbox video game system, a DVD player, two televisions, two digital cameras, a laptop computer, a motorcycle helmet, a cellular telephone and diamond earrings from a home on Alisa Road off the N.M. 599 Frontage Road between 7:45 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Wednesday.

A burglar stole a suitcase, DVD movies, tools and jewelry from a home on Cibola Circle in the Arroyo Hondo area between 6:45 a.m. and 3:50 p.m. Wednesday.

A power tool set was stolen from a home on Puye Road in the Arroyo Hondo area around 5 p.m. Wednesday. A man was seen running from a shed behind the home.

A resident on Pajarito de Azul in Tesuque told police a man with a gun tried forcing his way into the resident's home at 11:15 p.m. Wednesday, but was unsuccessful and ran away.

Someone stole a dinnerware set, various kitchen utensils, a television, a microwave and unspecified home furnishings from a home on Avila Road sometime before Aug. 20.

DWI arrests

Jeff L. Padilla, 49, of the 6600 block of Jaguar Drive, was arrested at 10:15 p.m. Wednesday on Galisteo Street and charged with DWI, driving with a revoked license and concealing his identity.

Daniel D. Gutierrez, 50, of the 1700 block of Third Street, was arrested at his home at 9:42 p.m. Tuesday and charged with DWI and driving with a suspended license.

Lucha Ramirez, 39, of Albuquerque, was arrested by state police Sunday at 2:45 p.m. on Interstate 25 and charged with DWI.

State police arrested Larry R. Kelly, 57, of Edgewood at 1:50 p.m. Saturday on N.M. 14 and charged him with DWI.

State police arrested Brian Patrick Spencer, 67, of South Dakota, on Aug. 16 on N.M. 14 and charged him with aggravated DWI.

Kevin Fabian, 57, of Edgewood was arrested by state police at 12:03 a.m. Aug. 16 and charged with DWI.

Today's location of the Santa Fe Police Department's mobile speed enforcement vehicle: Chaparral Elementary School on Zia Road between Yucca Avenue and Vo-Tech Road between 7:25 a.m. and 8:15 a.m. and 2:10 p.m. and 2:55 p.m. and on Richards Avenue between Rodeo Road and Governor Miles Road the rest of the day.
