The Santa Fe Police Department is investigating the following reports:
• A thief stole a detachable portion of a stainless steel and bronze-on-stone sculpture called Nesting Cranes No. 13 by artist Kevin Box sometime between Tuesday and Wednesday from Selby Fleetwood Gallery on Canyon Road. The value of the sculpture is $3,300.
• A burglar broke into two vehicles at B&G Automotive, 4350 Center Drive, sometime between Tuesday and Wednesday and stole a .38 Special revolver from one of the vehicles.
• A man on Friday tried to buy a pizza with a suspected counterfeit $100 bill in the 700 block of St. Michael's Drive.
• Police arrested Amara Garcia of Ohkay Owingeh on Saturday on charges of heroin possession and drug paraphernalia possession. The arrest took place on Rufina Street in Santa Fe. Garcia also had an unspecified warrant on unspecified charges from state District Court.
• A woman told police that her ex-boyfriend tried to ram her car with his vehicle in the 4200 block of Cerrillos Road on Thursday. The woman's 5-year-old son was in her car at the time.
• A burglar entered a home in the 3000 block of Calle Caballero on Friday and stole gold jewelry and electronic items.
• A burglar broke into a home in the 2600 block of Calle Primera on Friday and stole a Dell laptop computer, an Xbox game system and other items.
• Police arrested Jerome Gurule of Rio Rancho on Friday on warrants for failing to appear in Santa Fe Municipal Court. His original charges were driving with a revoked license, speeding and not using a seat belt.
• Someone stole a gray Toyota Yaris on Thursday from a woman's home in the 1300 block of Lujan Street.
• A Santa Fe man reported that an unknown person or persons from Jamaica used fraud to steal "a significant amount of money" from him between July and last week.
• A thief stole a backpack containing an Apple MacBook computer and an iPod Touch from a friend's vehicle parked in the 1500 block of Center Drive on Thursday.
• A burglar stole a staple gun from an Arizona man's pickup parked at the Luxury Inn, 3752 Cerrillos Road.
• Someone broke into an unlocked vehicle parked in the 1400 block of Zepol Road on Friday and stole unspecified items.
• Police on Saturday arrested Anthony Ortiz of Santa Fe on a warrant on unspecified charges.
• Thomas Barron, 51, was arrested Friday on a warrant from Magistrate Court.
The Santa Fe County Sheriff's Department is investigating the following reports:
• Deputies arrested Luis Solis on Saturday after he reportedly violated a restraining order by driving by the protected person's home several times. He was also found to have an outstanding arrest warrant stemming from traffic violations.
• Burglars broke into a home in La Cienega on Friday. There were no signs of forced entry, but a garage door was open when the victim got home. Nothing appeared to be missing.
DWI arrest
• Police on Friday arrested David Cervantes, 37, of Santa Fe on a warrant charging him with drunken driving.
