You will "Like" The Social Network, which is already a top box-office hit. The movie tells a quasi-fictionalized version of how Harvard genius Mark Zuckerberg created Facebook.
After his girlfriend breaks up with him, Zuckerberg (Jesse Eisenberg, Zombieland) goes home, gets a bit drunk and creates a website which appraises the attractiveness of the female Harvard undergraduates. After the highly trafficked site ends up crashing Harvard's network he is given academic probation. However, the site attracts the attention of Cameron and Tyler Winklevoss and Divya Narendra, who need a programmer to help create a website called "The Harvard Connection."
Zuckerberg agrees to help them but then begins work with his friend, Eduardo Saverin, on a social networking site he calls "The Facebook." Once Zuckerberg's site is launched, it becomes an instant success, which causes the Winklevoss brothers and Narendra to sue him for intellectual property theft, saying he stole their website idea.
Originally I was skeptical about seeing this movie for two reasons: It's about Facebook (how deep can such a movie be?) and because Justin Timberlake is in it. Timberlake plays Sean Parker, the creator of Napster, who helps Zuckerberg run the company. However, both the writing and acting were excellent. The mixture of a good story, good acting and a few humorous moments will keep you interested all the way through.
