Santa Fe has been named one of the Top 10 Cities for Keeping New Year's Resolutions by Livability.com, a national website that highlights more than 500 of America's best places to live.
Livability.com editors studied more than
500 cities and ranked them based on the following factors: residents' health, population growth, financial strength, recreational activities, cultural amenities and general happiness. In some cases, editors relied on existing lists and data collections, such as the American Fitness Index.
Rated ninth, Santa Fe was chosen because it ranks high for the quality-of-life factors — ample recreational opportunities, arts and cultural offerings, access to quality health care and low unemployment rate — help residents keep their New Year's resolutions.
The other cities, in order, were Honolulu, Hawaii; Fort Collins, Colo., West Des Moines, Iowa; San Jose, Calif., Provo, Utah, Omaha, Neb., Madison, Wis., Richmond, Va., and Charlotte, N.C.
