Albuquerque remains in the race for the Southern Division title of the American Conference in the Pacific Coast League after the Sounds swept a doubleheader from Oklahoma City and the Isotopes pounded Iowa 13-3 on Thursday.

Oklahoma City (72-67) holds a two-game lead on Albuquerque (70-69) with four games left in the regular season. The Isotopes close out the year with four games in Round Rock, Texas, beginning tonight.

Albuquerque broke open its home finale with a four-run fifth inning and a five-run eighth.

Rafael Furcal hit a solo home run and Trent Oeltjen followed with a two-run home run in the fifth for the Isotopes. John Lindsey had a two-run home run in the eighth.

Francisco Felix earned the win. Felix (2-0) scattered six hits and three runs over 62/3 innings. He walked three and struck out five.
