Unstoppable is a nonstop action movie about a runaway train that is barreling at more than 70 miles per hour in highly populated areas with highly toxic cargo to boot.
To make things better, the new guy, Will (Chris Pine, Star Trek), and the veteran, Frank (Denzel Washington, American Gangster), are thrown into the middle of the ordeal and must work together to bring the half-mile-long missile of a train to a halt.
The movie did not waste any time diving into the action. It was filled with close calls, suspenseful moments and choices that could save or destroy a whole city. Washington plays the role of the old veteran very well and at times seems cocky, but it suits the character, especially when interacting with the new guy on the job — Pine's character.
Once the movie ended I finally caught my breath and released the death grip I had locked onto the armrest. The movie was no doubt a roller coaster of excitement with more than enough twists and turns to make it stand out among the other action flicks.
